I don't use LJ that much anymore but last night's news warranted something.

I was lucky enough to meet Elisabeth several years ago at a signing and she was just the loveliest person. She gave plenty of time to each person who queued up. She'll be sorely missed by several generations who watched and loved her.

RIP Lis.

And this afternoon I passed the 50 000 mark, finishing on 50 065, which I am incredbily happy about.
I suppose it is a relief to finally finish it but also rather weird after all this has been on my mind a lot this month. 

Anyway I'm not going to ramble for much longer as I'm tired and still have a load of homework to do but congrats to anyone else who took part or anything else similar this month!

And the end is nearing


And I think I am going to do it, fingers crossed.

I'm currently on 46, 271 and I have at least 400 words in a notebook and i need to link the prologue back in which will probably give me another 500 or so words. And from now on I am pretty clear on how I'm going to finish, so i'm pretty happy with that :)


In a way I cannot wait for Nano to end, to sit down and be able to write something else without forcing myself to stop and go back to Nano, or even have to look at Write Or Die. Plus I can finally catch up with my flist and be able not to rush RL things (and not think about a bloody word count when i'm meant to be having fun). And finish watching Alias Series 4, which I haven't had time to do (yet in the last four days I've had time to watch Sweeney Todd, The Edge of Love and Juno), let's just hope my friends dont remember me assuring them I'd have it finished this weekend.

Also I may finally have time to some icons!

Anywhos I'm off to bed, hope everyone is having a freat weekend!

I have been rather slack the last couple of days (or week rather), I was still writing every day, just I had a sudden overload of homework (I think in the past week I've been set at least six essays including other homework, and everyone deciding we *have* to go out, the one time I really do not want to go out) but I've succeeded in getting my wordcount up to date. I'm up to 41,701 now so I am very happy with that.
I am kinda looking forward to the end of Nano, I mean it has certainly been an experience, a welcome distraction in science lessons (especially when we had to dissect a sheep's heart) , and I've written far more than I have ever written.
Still I'll be happy to get back to the other stories I've had in my head (or in the case of one of them, start planning for the next Nano) and start getting prepared for christmas. I still have a scrapbook I have to have done for February, as a combined christmas and birthday present for a friend, plus number of trips out to organise, other presents, and of course the demand for Alias Series 4 from two friends, while I still need to finsih it. Most annoyingly though I have discovered I have forgotten how to write in third person, only in first person.
And of course I have my LJ to catch up on.
